Internship Overview

Our Aerospace/Mechanical Design Online Internship is a unique opportunity for students and enthusiasts to gain practical experience in the dynamic field of aerospace engineering and mechanical design. MARS Exploration is offering a dynamic RLV Online Internship for enthusiastic individuals who are ready to take their first step into the aerospace industry, all from the comfort of their own space. We will assist you to complete the project and assignments which help you to showcase your skill and gain practical experience

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conceptual Design: Contribute to the early stages of aerospace and mechanical design projects, participating in brainstorming sessions and idea generation.

  2. Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Gain proficiency in industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) to create detailed 3D models of aerospace and mechanical components.

  3. Analysis and Simulation: Engage in virtual simulations to analyze the performance and behavior of aerospace and mechanical systems under various conditions.

  4. Prototyping and Testing: Work on the development of prototypes and participate in virtual testing processes to validate designs.

  5. Collaboration: Interact with cross-functional teams, including engineers, researchers, and project managers, to solve complex design challenges.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong academic record with a passion for space exploration and reusable launch vehicles.

  • Familiarity with simulation tools  is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.

Catia V5 Software Training Syllabus:

Module 1: Introduction to CATIA V5

  • Overview of CATIA V5 and its applications

  • Understanding the user interface

  • Basic navigation and settings

Module 2: Sketcher Workbench

  • Creating sketches

  • Constraining and dimensioning sketches

  • Using sketch tools for basic geometry

Module 3: Part Design Workbench

  • Creating 3D solid models from sketches

  • Advanced part design features (extrude, revolve, fillet, chamfer, etc.)

  • Managing design parameters and features

Module 4: Assembly Design Workbench

  • Creating assemblies

  • Placing and constraining components

  • Managing assembly relationships

Module 5: Drafting Workbench

  • Creating 2D drawings from 3D models

  • Adding dimensions, annotations, and symbols

  • Managing drawing sheets and templates

Module 6: Generative Shape Design Workbench

  • Creating complex 3D shapes using advanced surface modeling

  • Blending, sweeping, and multi-section surface features

  • Editing and modifying surface geometry

Module 7: Wireframe and Surface Design Workbench

  • Creating wireframe geometry

  • Building surfaces using wireframe elements

  • Editing and analyzing surface geometry

Module 8: DMU Kinematics Workbench

  • Understanding kinematic principles

  • Creating kinematic mechanisms and animations

  • Analyzing and validating motion

Module 9: Sheet Metal Design Workbench

  • Creating sheet metal parts

  • Adding bends, flanges, and other sheet metal features

  • Unfolding and flattening sheet metal parts

UGNX (Siemens NX) Software Training Syllabus:

Module 1: Introduction to UGNX

  • Overview of UGNX and its applications

  • Understanding the user interface and customization options

  • Basic navigation and settings

Module 6: Sheet Metal Design

Module 7: Synchronous Technology

  • Editing designs without history

  • Incorporating synchronous technology in the design process

Module 8: Manufacturing (CAM)

  • Introduction to computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)

  • Creating toolpaths for milling and turning operations

  • Simulating and verifying machining operations

Module 9: Simulations and Analysis

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) basics

  • Structural and thermal analysis using simulation tools

  • Interpreting simulation results

Module 10: Motion Analysis

  • Understanding kinematic principles

  • Creating motion simulations

  • Analyzing and validating motion

Module 11: Teamcenter Integration (Optional)

  • Collaboration and data management with Teamcenter

  • Managing revisions and changes

  • Working with Teamcenter alongside UGNX
